Important Message from Helen Wronski

Good afternoon, my Girl Scout family. As a result of Friday’s ACH error, my heart is breaking because I know of the disruption, disappointment, and failure of trust that you must feel towards the Council staff and towards me, your Interim CEO. I am saddened to tell you that this was indeed a human error on our part and be assured that this aspect will be addressed in the days to come. As a representative of GSUSA in Southern Nevada for the past 18 months, words cannot express my deep apologies for this egregious error.    

What happened:

The first ACH on March 2, 2018 went through successfully. The second ACH on March 16th went through successfully, however the results were not accurately loaded into eBudde. As a consequence, twice the amount was swept from accounts in error. 

When we became aware of this early Friday morning, we immediately reversed the ACH. All funds from the third ACH will be returned to your account on Monday, March 26th. Any fees incurred to your Troop as a result of our mistake will be fully reimbursed.

Next steps:

We will be reinstating the corrected sweep on Wednesday, March 28th.

If you’ve incurred any overdraft fees, please complete this form no later than Thursday, April 5th at noon.

We will credit back fees on Friday, April 6th.

Looking forward:

As I prepare to onboard a new CEO, have confidence that the lessons learned during this cookie season are well documented and will be reviewed in detail with our new CEO. And I further commit to you that we will have a plan in place to assure that you, our volunteers, will have a voice in planning and executing the 2019 cookie program. Look for a cookie survey in your email this week and the formation of the 2019 Cookie Committee to come. 

For now, on this Saturday, my focus is on you our volunteers, leaders, and parents. I know that we are blessed to have your time and talents to assist us in carrying out our Girl Scout movement. 

Once again, I offer my sincerest apologies and can only hope that you accept my apology in the spirit of Girl Scout sisterhood. I would welcome hearing from you directly.

The transaction has been reversed. The funds will be returned to your account on Monday morning, March 26th.

Calculating Your 2nd ACH Sweep on Friday, March 16th:

  2. Sales Report tab
  3. Multiple the Amount You Owe to Council by .5

This is the amount Council will sweep on Friday, March 16, 2018.

Cookie Sale Closing Checklist:
The closing of your cookie sale will be paperless and completed through eBudde.

  1. Verify all troop transactions are entered and accurate to your records: ​

  2. Ensure all girl cookie transactions are correct. If there is something missing or incorrect, please contact your Service Unit Product Sales Manager or Council. 
  3. Verify all girls have correct t-shirt sizes entered:

  4. Place Rewards Order:

    • Submit Reward Order
  5. Ensure there is enough funds in your bank account for:
    • ​The second ACH of 50% of balance due to Council on Friday, March 16th.

Helpful Hints about Placing Your Rewards Order:

  • The number of rewards is auto-calculated from the “Girls” order tab.
  • If a girl is requred to make a reward choice, it will be highlighted in red next to her name. You will not be allowed to place your order until all choices have been made. 
  • Troop Girl Rewards are due in eBudde on Tuesday, March 20th at 11:59pm.
  • eBudde “locks” to troops on Tuesday, March 20th at 11:59pm.
  • After submitting your rewards order, eBudde is locked. To make a change to your order, contact your Service Unit Product Sales Manager. The Service Unit Product Sales Managers can modify orders until March 23rd at 11:59pm.

Hello everyone!

Some of you may have noticed a new variety column added to eBudde this morning; TGOC. This was added to help our troops account for cookies from their physical inventory being donated as part of the Gift of Caring program. For more information, check out the guidelines below:

Cookie Donations Guideline:

For various reasons, some customers do not want to buy cookies for themselves, or they have a limited need but want to give more. With both a Council-wide donation program (CGOC) and a Troop-level donation program (TGOC), customers have more ways than ever before to give to others while supporting Girl Scouting at the same time.


CGOC – Council Gift of Caring Program:

CGOC was created to give customers and troops an opportunity to make a donation easy through our Digital Cookie Program. Because this is a virtual donation program, troops are not given actual boxes to be donated but do collect the money for the donation via Digital Cookie.

Here’s how it works:

  • Money collected for each donated box in Digital Cookie is automatically recorded in eBudde as a CGOC box (this will appear in the CGOC column of eBudde).
  • That’s all the troop needs to do! The cookies are added up and taken from the Council inventory of cookies.
  • These cookies are still recorded as a sale but do not add to your Initial Order total or inventory total. Unlike Troop Gift of Caring a troop will never need or receive boxes for CGOC. These sales still count towards a girl’s total and rewards.

UPDATED: TGOC – Troop Gift of Caring Program

TGOC was created to give customers and troops an opportunity to make a donation easy during cookies-on-the-go, booths, and lemonade stands. Because this is a physical donation program, troops will be donating actual boxes of cookies that they’ve collected money for.

Here’s how it works:

  • A cash donation is received during cookies-on-the-go, booths, and lemonade stands.
  • The troop leader records these donations in the TGOC column of eBudde for each girl.
  • At the end of the season troops count the amount of purchased boxes for the Troop Gift of Caring program and then take boxes from any remaining troop inventory and donate boxes to a non-profit organization of their choice. Troops are responsible for any costs associated with delivery. There is also a new tab called “GOC Org” where you can enter the information for the organization that your troop is donating to.
  • Alternatively, troops can bring the cookies to the council office from Wednesday, March 14 until Wednesday, March 21 for inclusion in the CGOC donation to the Blue Star Mothers to send cookies to troops overseas. Even if these cookies are being included in the Blue Star delivery, they should be entered in to TGOC column in eBudde. If you choose this option, you can leave the GOC Org tab blank.
  • Some troops may show they have sold more boxes than they received through the sale. If this is the case simply email council before Tuesday, March 20 and we will adjust your inventory to accommodate and deliver the cookies with the Blue Star donation (you do NOT need to come to council to pick-up these cookies).

Hello everyone!

Beginning on Thursday, March 8th through Saturday, March 10th, all Cookie Warehouse pickups will be moved from Berger Allied Moving & Storage to the Council office.

While the Council Cookie Cupboard (GSSNV – HQ) is open for planned orders, we highly encourage troop-to-troop transfers to help sister troops manage excess inventory.

Days and Times:

  • Thursday, March 8th: Closed for new planned orders. 
  • Friday, March 9th: 9am – 5pm

  • Sunday, March 11th: Closed for the 2018 cookie season

Helpful Hints:

  • Troops must submit a planned order in eBudde 24 hours in advance of pick-up.
    • ​For pick-up on Friday, March 9th, the order must have been placed in eBudde by 9am on Thursday, March 8th.
    • For pick-up on Saturday, March 10th, the order must be placed in eBudde by 9am on Friday, March 9th. 

Inventory Update:

  • We will not be accepting any planned orders for Thin Mints and Trefoils at the Council Cookie Cupboard.
    • The Henderson and Boulder City Cupboards are sold out of those varieties as well.
  • As we approach the last weekend of booth sales, once a variety is unavailable (greyed out) in eBudde, those varieties are sold out at that cupboard for the 2018 cookie sale. 
  • Customers ordering through Digital Cookie can still choose to have those varieties (or any variety) shipped directly to their home.  
  • We highly encourage troop-to-troop transfers to help sister troops manage excess inventory in lieu of ordering from the cupboards. 

2018 Cookie Sale Extended!

To help girls reach their cookie goals and to assist troops in managing excess inventory, the 2018 cookie sale has been extended 1 WEEK. The extension is voluntary and is not mandatory for individual sellers or troops.

Cookie Sale Voluntary Sale Extension FAQ’s:

When is the new last day of the 2018 cookie sale?
Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 11:59pm


What types of sales are allowed during the sale extension? (March 12 – March 18)
(refer to pages 17 and 18 of the Troop Cookie Manager Manual for full explanations of the following)

  • Lemonade Stands
  • Door-to-door sales
  • “Cookies on the Go” (previously referred to as “Walkabouts”)
  • Online sales through Digital Cookie
  • Social networking
  • Telephone sales
  • Workplace sales

Are booth sales allowed?
No. Booth sales are completed on Sunday, March 11, 2018 and cannot be extended. Please do not contact any retailers to ask permission for a booth location. 


Are sales on Facebook and the internet allowed? 
While girls and adults cannot sell cookies on eBay, Craigslist, Facebook groups, or the Facebook Marketplace, cookie sellers are allowed to promote on personal social media accounts.


Am I required to particpate in the cookie sale through March 18, 2018?
No. The extension is voluntary and is not mandatory for individual sellers or troops. The final decision on whether to extend your sale will be up to your troop leader(s) or  cookie chair (if applicable).


Can I order more cookies from the cookie cupboard warehouses?

  • While the Berger warehouse is open for re-orders, we encourage troop-to-troop transfers to help sister troops manage excess inventory.   
  • Re-orders through Berger are due in eBudde by Friday, March 9th at 9:00am.
  • The Berger Allied Moving & Storage will close on Saturday, March 10th atNoon. 
  • The Henderson City community cupboard will close on Sunday, March 11th at 11:00am.
  • The Boulder City community cupboard will close on Sunday, March 11th at 11:00pm.
*Note: No cookies may be picked up from the cupboards after these times.

What if my troop decides not to particpate in the extension? 
Great! Please submit the following to Council:
  1. Delinquent Accounts Forms (if applicable)
  2. Submit troop rewards in eBudde (this can be done anytime until Tuesday, March 20th at 11:59pm)
  3. Ensure there is enough funds in your bank account for:
  • ​The second ACH of 50% of balance due to Council on Friday, March 16th.
  • The final ACH of remaining balance due to Council will now be Friday, March 23rd.

What if I’m unable to deposit the second ACH of 50%?

Call Council immeditately. We want to ensure that you are not charged overdraft fees. We can only do that if you call Council at 702-385-3677 by 5pm on Wednesday, March 14th.

In partnership with our Sisters for the Summer at the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio, campers can choose a 3 night, 4-day camp experience on their own or a weekend with an adult. Calculating Your First ACH Sweep on 3/2

Hello everyone!

Below you’ll find easy-to-follow steps on how to calculate your first ACH sweep on Friday, March 2nd. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Council by emailing customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org.

Calculating Your 1st ACH Sweep:

refer to screenshot #1 below for steps 1 and 2

  1. Add all numbers highlighted in yellow (Pkgs. Orderded and Extras) together to get your core cookies (CGOC through TMint) initial order (core cookies are every flavor except for Toffee-tastic and Girl Scout S’mores)
  2. Add all numbers highlighted in green together to get your specialty cookies (Smr and Toff) initial order. (specialty cookies are Toffee-tastic and Girl Scout S’mores)

3. Multiply the total core number by $5.00
4. Multiply the total specialty number by $6.00
5. Add the total dollar amounts from #3 and the total from #4 together.
6. View the Sales Report tab in ebudde
7. Subtract your Troop proceeds from the total dollar amount from step #5 (seen in screenshot #2 in blue).
8. Multiply the total dollar amount from step #7 by .35

This is the amount Council will sweep on Friday, March 2, 2018.

2018 S’Mores and Toffee-tastic Express Update

Hello everyone,

We have heard confirmation from the baker that the S’Mores and Toffee-tastic varieties will be available for pick-up at the warehouse starting at 9am on Wednesday, 2/28. The system is currently open for these two varieties and you have until 9am tomorrow morning (2/27) to place an order for pick-up on Wednesday. After 9am tomorrow, the order will be available for pick-up on Thursday or later.

For those troops whose orders were adjusted this past weekend, we have placed a new planned order for pick-up at 9am on Wednesday that includes the cookies that were adjusted off your order. Even though the order was placed for 9am, this does not mean that you need to be there early to get your cookies. This is just to make sure that the warehouse pulls these cookies early so they are ready for when you do come to pick them up. If you need other cookies besides these two varieties, you can still place your own planned order for the other varieties and the warehouse will have them both ready at the time of pick-up. If you don’t need these cookies, just shoot an email over to customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org to let us know and we will delete any order for your troop that you’d like.

UPDATED: 2018 Reorders After First Weekend

Hello everyone!

Just a friendly reminder that the next available date to pick-up cookies from the cupboard is Tuesday, 2/27. If you would like to pick up cookies then, your order needs to be in (and saved) eBudde no later than 9am tomorrow (2/26).

Also, please make sure that your pending order on the transactions screen in eBudde changes from green (see blow) to grey. If the order looks like this image, you need to click save in the top left corner so the warehouse can see your order.


S’Mores and Toffee-tastic update

We currently believe that S’Mores and Toffee-tastics will be available for pick-up at the warehouse on Wednesday. We are confirming this tomorrow and will post an update here once we know for sure. Once we’ve confirmed, we will contact those folks that had their orders adjusted last week and place replacement orders for them. Once those orders are placed, we will open ordering so anyone can go in and place planned orders for those two varieties and any other varieties they may need. We will also notify everyone here when those two varieties are open.

2/24/18 Cookie Updates

Good Morning GSSNV members!

  • A couple of express updates for all of you. To put some perspective on the booths, we have a total of 127 unique cookie booth sites this weekend-Fri-Sun, with now about 10 reported issues as of this morning, (which are 10 too many!)  Thank you, Vanessa Wagoner, for your expert assistance!

  • We know that we have questions in the customer service online system, a total of 59 this morning. Brian and Tina are in the office answering those questions and we will not leave today until all of these customer inquiries are responded to by our staff.
  • ACH-1st Withdrawal (35% of initial order and withdrawal will be adjusted down for any digital cookie sales) is this Friday, March 2, 2018. Updates on steps and process will be posted several times throughout the week on member services and cookie corner.
  • PLEASE use and only trust the electronic version of the cookie manual on the website under cookie corner, as the written copy has outdated information since being printed in early January 2018.
  • Damaged Cookies, Troops please let warehouse know how many packages, so they can confirm they can exchange before you drive out to the warehouse to exchange, and for customers or you personally with packages damaged, call 1-800 number on box of cookies.
  • Just a reminder that Tina Cordero, is the Product Sales Manager (customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org) until Hilary returns which we expect sometime in late summer from her surgery and recovery. All of Hilary’s emails are now directed toward Tina, and she is in this weekend answering those and the customer service que along with other members of our staff.
  • Finally, for today, we have an order on the way from CA of 2 designated trucks of cookies, including toffee and s’mores. Last year we sold 300 cases of gluten free cookies, and this year, we are at 4,000 cases and climbing.

The importance of designated trucks is that there are no stops along the way, they come directly from CA to us at Berger.  We expect early this week, and once notified we will have the 8 troops that were shorted on their initial order receive their cookies, and then open for reorders.  We ordered a substantial number of cookies so there should be no further issues.

Let’s continue to support one another as we have over the past few days and see you around this weekend as part of the surprise squad!   Most important, thank you for everything you do and in helping build strong leaders for our future.

2018 Vons and Wal-Mart Update

Good morning Everyone,

A few of you have called expressing problems with Vons and a few Wal-Marts. We are working with their corporate office to find out why we are not on their corporate calendar as expected, but as we do that, I wanted to provide a copy of the communication with the corporate office that you can take with you to Vons locations to show local managers that we have approval from the corporate office. That letter can be found here.

If there are any issues when you arrive at Vons, please show them this letter. We ask that we use this form to collect booth issues because there is a team of us working this morning and we want to make sure we contact everyone and that we have all of the information we need to resolve these issues for you. Hello everyone,

UPDATED: Cookie Inventory:

I wanted to pop in and let everyone know that there is not a cookie shortage. A few people have called stating that they have heard an incorrect rumor about us being short on all cookies and this simply isn’t the case. Our Henderson cupboard was running low, but we are working with the warehouse to get that location restocked by tomorrow.

If anyone has heard a rumor that our core cookie varieties are low (the best sellers), that is incorrect. What is correct is that we have seen a way higher demand on S’Mores and Toffee-tastic varieties than even the baker was anticipating. After the shortage last year, we made sure the baker kept a lot of extra inventory in their regional California warehouse. We have already placed a reorder from this warehouse for the S’Mores and Toffee-tastic cookies and are expecting them in next week. The rest of the cookies (Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Savannah Smiles, Do-Si-Dos, and Trefoils) are in-stock and can be picked up with a planned order. If your current planned order has S’Mores and Toffee-tastics, these will be honored based on what time your planned order was placed in eBudde. Most orders for this weekend will need to be adjusted to accommodate inventory. Those impacted will be emailed by 9am tomorrow (2/23).


Cookie Cupboard – 2/23

For our first day of cookie cupboard, a rotation of council staff (David, Tina, and Helen) will be present for this first day of planned orders to answer any cookie questions you may have.

UPDATED: Smith’s and Wal-Mart Booth Authorization Forms:

We have received both the Smiths and the Wal-Mart letters! Smiths is located here and Wal-Mart is here. On another note, we are pleased to announce that troops will not need to track their cookie sales for Smiths booths! With the move to Little Brownie Baker, we now have eBudde which can now track this all for us! Also, starting next year, all Smiths locations will be on a blanket approval process from Council, so volunteers will no longer need to go out and source these booths.

Good morning everyone,

After our successful MegaDrop, we are now preparing for the first weekend of booth sales. As we enter into this week, we have some updates for everyone.

Hilary on Leave:

Due to an emergency medical issue related to a car accident Hilary was in two years ago, she has to take an immediate leave of absence for a vital surgery. Tina Cordero, from our amazing Member Support team, will be stepping in to assist with the remainder of the sale. We all wish Hilary a speedy recovery and look forward to her return as soon as she is able. During this transition, we will need your help to ensure that no emails are lost. Please make sure that ALL requests for assistance are emailed to customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org so that our entire team of staff working on cookies can see the request and get you the help you need.

Cupboard dates:

A few members have asked why the cookie cupboard wasn’t open until 2/23. This is because the delivery station section of eBudde and the cupboard section of eBudde are separate items. The warehouse is required to complete the initial order pick-up process before we open the cupboard for pick-up. Once the final troops pick up their initial order on Thursday, the warehouse will switch over to cupboard mode and the cupboard will be open starting 9am on Friday the 23rd. A rotation of council staff (David, Tina, and Helen) will be present for this first day of planned orders to answer any cookie questions you may have.

We have heard that leaders are running low on receipt books. We have coordinated with the baker to order more and these will be available at the warehouse and council office beginning on Friday the 23rd.

To clarify some comments received on Facebook and email, we have contacted some of our sister councils and not all of them have staff at their warehouses for cookie pick-ups. Many large councils run their cupboards with only warehouse staff.


Damaged Cookies:

If one of our Troop Leaders receive damaged product from the warehouse, they need to call the warehouse at (702) 399-9913 and advise them when they would like to come in and swap the product. They must pick a time to swap that is within the normal business hours for the warehouse which are as follows:

  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 9am-Noon & 1pm-5pm
  • Tuesday/Thursday: 9am-Noon & 1pm-7pm
  • Saturday (2/24, 3/3, 3/10): 9am-1pm

If any of our volunteers receive complaints from customers that purchased cookies that may have quality issues, they need to contact the baker directly by calling 1 (800) 962-1718 (this number is also on the side of every box of cookies).


Financial Responsibility Forms:

A couple of leaders advised me that there was not a financial responsibility form available for them to sign. We apologize that these few forms were missing at the time of pick-up. To help remedy this in the future, the warehouse has been sent a complete master list of all Financial Responsibility forms for every troop and can print them on site as needed.


Cookie Booth Surprise Squad:

Helen, David, Tina, and other staff will be traveling throughout the valley on cookie booth weekends to surprise our leaders and girls with a visit and maybe some goodies. Be on the look out for the green light!

Hello Everyone!

I can not believe that Mega Drop is here! We wanted to share a few reminders and key pieces of info for everyone that is participating in the main Mega Drop.

How do I know if I am at the main Mega Drop or I do not remember what delivery station I chose?

  •  You can check your Delivery Station location by clicking on the “Delivery” tab in eBudde and looking for the location listed in the greyed-out drop down (see below). There is also a purple button that says, “View Confirmation.” If you click this button it will pop up a flyer that tells you what delivery station you chose, what time your pick up is, an overview of your order, and suggested vehicles for pick-up. You should print this page and bring it with you to pick up your cookies!

If I have an order that needs more then one car, do we all need to arrive at the same time?

  • Yes! If you are bringing multiple cars you will all need to arrive together. Troops can not pick up a portion of their order and come back for the rest.

What if I do not bring a vehicle large enough for all of my cookies?

  • Our check-in staff will evaluate your order size against the vehicle(s) you bring. If we feel that there is not enough room for your order, we will ask you to leave the line and return that day when you have enough vehicles for the entire order. To avoid confusion and inventory mistakes, partial orders will not be filled and all cookies must be picked up at once. If you do not know how many vehicles you’ll need for your order, please see page 20 in the Troop Cookie Manual.

Can we specify which cookies go in which car?

  • We load the cookies by flavor and fill up one car completely before moving to the next car in your group. If you need to divide the cookies up between cars you will need to do that off-site, after you have checked out.

Can I get out of my car and help load cookies?

  • For your safety and the safety of our warehouse staff, you must remain in your car at all times. There will be a lot of machinery and activity that day and we want everyone to get their cookies without harm.

What do I need to bring to Mega Drop?

  • When you log into eBudde click the “Delivery” tab. There will be a purple button that say “View Confirmation” if you click this button it will pop up a flyer. This flyer gives you an overview of what your troop order is by flavor. You will want to bring this with you to verify against Delivery Ticket.
  • You MUST bring your Drivers License with you!
  • You need to bring an EMPTY vehicle. Please take care to remove all trash, items, carseats, and passengers from your car before arriving. Our warehouse staff will fill each car to it’s absolute max, so ensuring the vehicle is empty will keep everyone on schedule and safe.

If I have questions at the Mega Drop who will be there to help?

  • We will have multiple Council staff members including the Leadership Team, Product Sales, and representatives from the different departments.
  • One staff member or volunteer will be assigned to each vehicle to walk next to your car(s) and count the cookies out loud as they are loaded so you know you get the correct count.

What if I cannot be there to pick up my cookies but someone else can?

  • With Mega Drop falling on a holiday weekend this year, we completely understand if you cannot make it! If you are able to have someone else pick up your cookies please fill out the Cookie Pick Up Authorization form from our website. You and the person picking up will need to sign the form and make sure that the person picking up has their Drivers License at Mega Drop.

What should I receive when I leave the Mega Drop?

  • Besides all of the amazing cookies that you will be picking up you will also be receiving a copy of the receipt that you have signed (sometimes called a DOT or BUBBLE sheet), a receipt book, and a few papers about upcoming council items.

What happens if I miss my pick up time?

  • We understand that things come up during the day, maybe you got stuck in traffic, got off work late, or even got caught in line running errands! If you miss your time on the 17th please come as soon as you can on the 17th. We will do our best to squeeze you in but you may need to wait until there is a break in the line.
  • If you miss Mega Drop entirely you will need to email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org and we will help you make an appointment for the next available pick-up day and time.

What will the Mega Drop site look like?

  • A map of the location and the traffic flow will be provided here by tomorrow (2/13) for all of you to see.

2018 Week 6 Cookie Update

Congratulations team! We’ve made it to MegaDrop week!

As we all finalize details so we are ready to receive our precious cookies this week, I wanted to pop in and answer a few repeat questions we’ve seen come in via email.

Opt-out Requests

We have processed all of the opt-out request forms that we received. In total, 30 troops requested to opt-out. We were able to approve 22 of them and they are currently updated in eBudde. Three troops had girls in their troop younger than 4th grade for Membership Year 2018, two were missing signatures, and three had girls listed on the form that were not in their troop in eBudde. If you are one of the eight troops that we were not able to approve right away, someone from council will be contacting you tomorrow (2/12) to clarify. By Tuesday morning, if you feel that you submitted an opt-out request but do not see it in eBudde and have not heard from anyone at council, please email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org and we’ll be happy to investigate for you.


Remaining Cookie Season Forms (Including Me and My Guy Form)

  • GSSNV Booth Inventory form to use at Cookie Booths
  • Me and My Guy Form
  • Troop to Troop Transfer of Responsibility Form

The above forms have been loaded to our website, but are not yet loaded here to Cookie Corner. GSUSA is having some issues with the forms and documents section of our website and we cannot access any of those forms at this time. We are expecting to hear back from the tech team at the National office by tomorrow afternoon (2/12). We will update this post when the forms are available.

  • Smith’s Authorization Letter from the Corporate/District Offices
  • WalMart’s Authorization Lettter from the Corporte/District Offices

Going forward, as of the posting of this message, we will be utilizing the GSSNV Member Support only for member-to-member, troop or girl sharing, until the group is phased out on March 22, 2018. We understand that the group led solely by volunteers, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1895549597353868/ is available for you to join immediately. We recommend for member-to-member or troop-to-troop sharing, that you request to join this group.

Any questions, concerns or ideas for GSSNV council staff, including those to the CEO, to answer on any operational issue must be submitted through customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org.

The way in which we have been doing business on this page to handle individual issues, is not working and is not sustainable, and as such has led to a level of discourse on this site which is routinely not in keeping with the spirit of the Girl Scout Promise nor Law. In addition, many of your questions are often embedded in a 30-50 or more, comment thread under one post requiring additional time to discover your questions.

In the future, if we see several cases come in to customer service for an issue, we can then communicate back in an orderly and complete fashion to everyone. Everyone will have the opportunity to then see the same response to a question at the same time. More importantly, the system allows us to document your emails and calls, and to manage the case notes from one staff member to another.

Good morning team cookie!

We are ramping up for MegaDrop and I wanted to reach out with a few quick updates based on emails that we’ve received.

Booth Erros in eBudde:

As a few of you have seen, there were four booths with either duplicates or wrong times. These booths were corrected in the system last week, but we were advised at the end of the week that these corrections were not visible to troop leaders. After some testing, we were able to get these corrections published to troops late last night. If two people selected the same time and location, the people who selected second were contacted and we offered to assist in finding them replacement selections. If you are a leader in one of these locations and you were not contacted by me, then you selected first and should still have that spot in eBudde.


Booth Swaps:

Some troop leaders have seen how quickly a booth can be taken when released back into the selection system (especially if it is a high-traffic booth). Because of this, swapping booths can be challenging. If you and another troop want to swap booth locations, please email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org so we can swap them for you and not risk losing them.


Delivery Stations:

For those of you hosting Service Unit pick-ups, we have received a few requests for information about the number of cases per pallet that will be delivered. Cookie Cupboard Planned Orders (formally called “re-orders”):

A few volunteers have asked us how they get more cookies once their initial order is gone. This is great! The Cookie Cupboard will be open staring on 2/23 for troop leaders and cookie managers to place planned orders for additional cookies. These cookies need to be ordered in full cases and the delivery agent (Berger) needs them submitted in eBudde 24-business-hours in advance so they have time to prepare the order. For example, if you would like to pick-up on a Tuesday, the deadline to submit your order into eBudde would be 8:59 am on the previous Monday. The warehouse considers Saturday a business day, so if you would like to pick-up on a Monday, the deadline to submit your order into eBudde would be 8:59 am on the previous Saturday. This chart can be used as a guideline for when your order will be available:

We have a few updates for you as we await our cookies to arrive from the baker!

SongFest Jamboree:

We are excited to announce that the new overnight option for our girls this summer, SongFest Jamboree, can be paid for using the free session of camp girls earn as part of the Grand Cookie Club! Because we do not currently know who will be in the Grand Cookie Club, this registration option will not appear until after the sale concludes.


Recognition opt-out:

Thank you so much to everyone who turned in their Opt Out Forms! We are in the process of reviewing all of the opt-outs and the confirmation will be put in eBudde by close of business on 2/9/2018. If anyone has questions about their opt out form please reach out to us at customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org


Booth Documents and Resources:

We have had requests for the following documents to be uploaded to our website:

Good evening everyone,

As you know, troop initial orders are due this evening at 11:59pm PST. We have been diligently processing girl addition requests into eBudde. We believe that any requests to add girls into eBudde that we received before 5pm will be processed today. If you emailed to add a girl to your troop after 5pm (or feel that your email from earlier may not have made it to us), please follow this process to have them added:

  1. Send an email to customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org with the following information:
    • List of the girls that are missing
    • The amount of packages that need to be assigned to each girl
  2. Enter these girl’s cookie orders into the “other” section in eBudde
  3. Submit your order

Warehouse Update

As a reminder, this year the main cookie cupboard and Mega-Drop are located at our delivery agent’s warehouse. They are Berger Allied Moving & Storage located at 600 E Cheyenne Ave, North Las Vegas, NV 89030.

We are finalizing the hours for our Mega Drop on the 2/17 with the warehouse. As soon as we confirm that the warehouse will be able to receive the number of troops we anticipate coming, we will get that loaded into eBudde so you can select this location and your time from the “Delivery” tab in the system. We are hoping to have this up no later than tomorrow morning. Until then, since you are currently unable to pick a delivery time when you submit your order, do not worry, your order is still being submitted and you are able to log back in and choose a delivery time tomorrow.


Service Unit Delivery Stations

If you are a Service Unit Team member and would like a delivery station in your area, please fill out this form to let us know and we will get it entered into eBudde for the troop to select. Some key notes about running a delivery station:

  • You can restrict your station to just your service unit, but not to specific troops in your service unit
  • Once your service unit has selected their times, you can open this location up to sister service units if you choose
  • The delivery station does not have to be the same day as the Mega Drop (February 17), and can be the following week (Mon-Sat)

Seas the Day T-Shirt

We have had some questions about our wonderful troop pre-sales incentive, the Seas the Day T-shirt. If your troop qualifies, and you would like every girl in your troop to receive the shirt, every girl must have at least one package associated with her initial order. For example, if your troop average is 300+ but you know that one of your girls is only participating in booth sales (but you would still like her to have the troop t-shirt), you will need to assign at least one package to her in eBudde so the system knows that she is “active.”

If, after you have submitted your order you need to make any changes, please let your Service Unit Product Manager know so they can help you unlock your order and make any necessary changes! If you can’t get ahold of your Service Unit Product Person, please email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org and council will be happy to help!


Vons Times

Some folks have noticed some discrepancies between various Vons locations. For this year, some locations were sourced on a location-by-location basis, and the other locations were sourced through the corporate offices. This has lead to a some different times depending on how booths were sourced. Next year, ALL Vons booths will be provided by the corporate offices and they will all have the same time based on what they are willing to provide us that year.

Good evening everyone!

To make sure we keep everyone updated with all of the latest news regarding the cookie sale, I have some great updates for you today.

Social Media Violation Process

I have received a number of emails from concerned cookie parents and troop leaders that have witnessed others violating GSSNV’s and GSUSA’s social media sales and advertising policies. I wanted to let everyone know the process we are taking in resolving these complaints.

  • First, before we can speak with a selling parent or volunteer about the violation, we need proof of the infraction. The best proof is a screen shot of the post on a social media site. Do not fear if you are the one supplying the evidence, we will make sure we remove all trace of where the image came from before we send it to the violator. Once we have that proof, we will issue a preliminary warning to the selling parent or volunteer. In many cases, the violator didn’t even know they were infringing on the policies and they are happy to do what it takes to comply. If they agree to remove the offending post and they do not post another one like it after this warning, the issue will be considered resolved.
  • If they do not agree to take it down, or they violate the policies again after their first warning, I will issue them a second and final warning. Again, if they agree to remove the offending post and they do not post another one like it after the final warning, the issue will be considered resolved.
  • Lastly, if they do not agree to remove the offending post, or they violate the policies a third time, GSSNV will impose penalties up to removing the selling parent or volunteer AND their Girl Scout(s) from the product program (Fall and Spring sales).

This is not something we ever want to do and will do everything in our power to work with the violator to avoid this outcome. That being said, the safety and security of our girl members is of utmost importance and these policies are in place to protect them.


How the Cookie Crumbles

Some volunteers may have Girl Scouts asking where the cookie money goes that we raise and this is an excellent question! It is amazing that our girls are thinking like business people and want to know how the sales they make are impacting not just themselves, but the entire council. For a look at “how the cookie crumbles,” check out this awesome graphic below:

If you are wondering how the premium cookies fit into this, the answer is simple, the increased cost of the cookies is covered by their increased price! After that, the higher production cost for the $6.00 cookies is exactly the same formula as the $5.00 cookies.

Some people have asked what the $2.62 per box sold is used for in the support and operation of the council. To see that in detail, you should definitely check out our published financial documents on our website: http://www.girlscoutsnv.org/en/about-girl-scouts/OurCouncil/financials.html. After a year ends, an external team audits our financials, then the audit is review by a volunteer audit committee, then the board approves the audited financials. Once they are approved by the board, they are posted on our website for all to see! We are still currently awaiting board approval for Fiscal Year 2017 financials, but will have them posted as soon as we can. The best part of all of this? All money raised in through the cookie sale or donations stays local here in Southern Nevada!


Date Reminders

  • The third and final round for booth selections opens at 7:00 pm this Friday, January 26, 2018. Again, that is 7:00 pm, not 7:00 am
  • The Opt-out forms for Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador troops are due Friday, January 26, 2018 @ 11:59 pm. I will send notifications to anyone that HAS submitted a form by tomorrow (1/25). If you do not receive a notification from GSSNV that we’ve received your form by tomorrow, it may have been lost in translation and you should resend it on Friday (1/26) to make the deadline. If accepted, you will be notified of this by Friday 2/9/2018.

Hello Everyone!

As we enter into week 3 of sales (and our final booth selection round), I want to update everyone with some helpful information!

Upcoming Dates

  • Friday, January 26 @ 7:00 pm: Final Round of Booth Selections – In this round you are able to pick outside of your Service Unit and you are not limited by numbers.
  • 2018 Initial Cookie Order:
    • Tuesday, January 30 @ 11:59 pm: Troop orders are due – Troop leaders, please make sure that your initial order is in eBudde and is submitted BEFORE this deadline.
    • Wednesday, February 1 @ 11:59 pm: Service Unit initial orders are due – Service Unit Product Managers, please make sure that all of the troops in your Service Unit have submitted their orders BEFORE this deadline.

New Booth Locations for Round 3

After a great series of discussion with Vons corporate, we are proud to announce that all remaining Vons locations will be uploaded and in the system for Round 3! Also, moving forward, Vons locations will be secured with blanket approval each year and we will no longer need to collect cookie booth authorizations store-by-store. This is the greatly improved process they follow in Arizona and we are excited to mirror our sister council here in Southern Nevada!

In other exciting booth news, we are still adding a ton of booths for Round 3, including some really unique, new, booth locations (hint: one might have to do with a monthly art festival in downtown)!


Placing Re-Orders

We have been working with our new Delivery Agent, Berger Allied Moving and Storage, on the logistics of placing re-orders and have some great updates so you are prepared for this season!

Good evening everyone!

As the team works through all of your emails and phone calls, we have noticed a few repeating questions that we wanted to address for everyone here!

Cookie Booths

We know that the girls love selling in front of Vons locations and they have been a great corporate partner with us, year-over-year. This year we noticed that a more-than-usual number of stores were not returning the Cookie Booth Authorization form. When we inquired why, we were directed to contact their corporate office. After a great phone call with their office, they informed us that they would like to transition to a blanket corporate approval process for all the Vons in our area as this is the way it is done in the Phoenix market. This means that, moving forward, council will get a blanket Cookie Booth Authorization for all Vons and volunteers will not need to contact them. If fact, Vons requested that leaders avoid reaching out to individual locations so that everything can be handled by corporate. We have been told that we will have a decision sometime tomorrow, and we will let you know here when we do.

As a reminder booth locations cannot be used exclusively by any troop and they all must be shared with all troops. This can be found on page 23 of the troop cookie manual. (though the manual mentions a “lottery,” this is referring to the three round booth selection process).


Fall Sale

We have received an update on the fall incentives from our vendors. M2 Media (the magazine people) shipped their incentives on 1/16/2018. Service Unit Product Managers should expect to receive the M2 items starting on Monday. The incentive items from Ashdon Farm (the nut and candy people) are scheduled to ship by Monday at the latest. When these ship, the Service Unit Product Managers will receive an email with a tracking number for their delivery.

For Service Units without Product Managers, the fall incentives will be mailed to the council office and we will reach out to all of you to arrange pick-up. Fall incentive for Juliettes will also be sent to council for pick-up at the office. Please note that for the spring cookie sale, Service Units not having any leadership will receive assistance from their sister Service Units in leading the Juliette Service Unit group.

We also want to extend an excited congratulations to Erin of Troop 713 for winning the iPad flash contest!


Email Requests

As you know, we have received a flood of email and phone requests to update eBudde rosters, update families and troops in Digital Cookie, and other general cookie questions. Many of these requests are taking longer than expected because of a unforeseen system limitation in eBudde. We originally thought that troop rosters would be able to be updated en masse daily from our MyGS system. It turns out that these updates must be completed on a girl-by-girl basis, manually. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we process all of these requests. As of this evening, we are caught-up with all requests received before yesterday (1/17). If you feel that you’ve requested a change before yesterday, but haven’t seen it in eBudde, please email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org as soon as possible so the team can get that updated for you as soon as possible.

Good morning Members!

Before we launch round 2 of cookie booth site location today at noon, here are a few updates on all things cookies:

eBudde Updates

First, we have a team of staff today dedicated to answering all the Product Sales Cases that have been emailed regarding the cookie program.  Please be patient. We are working the oldest requests first to today’s requests and have set as a goal to be caught up with any requests received today by tomorrow morning.


Booth Site Selections

Round 2, opened today at 12 noon.  Please note that we will continue to secure additional booths for the round 3 on Friday, January 26th at 7pm.

We had an excellent suggestion by one of our members this morning.  After the booth sales at your local site, please follow up with a personal visit, or thank you notes from the girls perhaps with a picture of the girls in front of the business and send to the manager. Let’s build some additional good will!

In keeping with the promise and the law, and per the cookie manual, we will not be adding additional rounds for this season, but will bring it to the cookie task force for review in the 2019 season. Please remember, not all booth locations are created equal. Part of the lesson taught through the cookie financial literacy program is how to make the sale, regardless of the location.

Also, we have been doing our best to remove booth site selections outside of a troop’s service unit in round one. If you notice any we’ve missed, that you have not already emailed into customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org, or if there are any new ones from round 2, please send one email to customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org. We will have these removed before the final round begins.

As a reminder from a previous Facebook post, here is the schedule for the remaining rounds. While a round is open, troop leaders can add or drop booths at will. Once a round closes, booths may only be dropped, but none can be added:

  • Round Two is open and will remain so until Noon on 1/19.
  • Round Three will be from 7pm on 1/26 until the end of the sale (the last round is unlimited with no restrictions, so you can keep selecting until the sale ends, even outside of your service unit).

2019 Cookie Task Group

Many of you have inquired about the cookie task for the 2019 sale, and here is what is in development to launch at the end of the 2018 Cookie Season:

  • A job description for the task group is being developed
  • How to apply to the group, and any eligibility requirements to serve
  • The survey results of all 2018 cookie members (survey to be sent at end of 2018 cookie sale)

The 2018 Cookie Season Officially Begins!

Good evening cookie team!

We have some exciting news and updates for you to launch the official 2018 Cookie Season!

Booths:

All booths that are available for round 1 are finalized and in eBudde. This round is open now and will remain open until Noon on Monday, January 15, 2018. If there are locations that you see missing, we are either still waiting for final approval from the local store manager, or that location has declined to host us this year. If we are waiting for final approval, we will do our best to get these for round 2 on Wednesday. Any partners that decline to host us will be updated here on Cookie Corner so no one is kept waiting to see them in eBudde.

As a reminder, please do not approach any corporate booths. If you’d like to help with corporate booths, please contact me first so we can coordinate and operate as a team.


eBudde:

We have currently processed all of the requests for leaders to access eBudde that we’ve received before 9am this morning. If you still do not have access, please email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org with the subject “Troop Leader eBudde Access.” We will make these requests the highest priority so everyone can participate in round 2 of booth selections on Wednesday.

If your roster is not correct in eBudde, please send an email to customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org with the corrections you need. To help expedite these requests, please make sure your troop roster is correct in MyGS. If it is not, please still email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org, but we will have to correct your roster in MyGS before we correct it in eBudde. These requests are being processed as quickly as possible, on a first-come first-serve basis, based on the time your email is received.


Social Media and the Cookie Sale:

As a reminder, while online social networking sites are a great place for teens (13 and older with parental permission) to ask for cookie orders, girls cannot sell cookies on eBay, Craigslist or ANY Facebook groups (whether they are a buy/sell group or a regular group). Also, girls under 13 can only ask on their parents personal social media account for customers to purchase cookies. Be sure girls follow the GSUSA safety guidelines for online marketing.


Digital Cookie Questions:

If you or a member of your troop still need access to Digital Cookie, we need to make sure that they are showing on your roster in eBudde first (see the above section about eBudde). The two systems are linked and dependent on one another. If your roster is correct in eBudde and someone is still having an issue accessing the system, please follow these guidelines for requesting a new registration email from Digital Cookie. If your troop member is still having issues after following those instructions, please email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org for assistance. As with eBudde updates, these requests are being processed as quickly as possible, on a first-come first-serve basis, based on the time your email is received.


I want to thank everyone for all of their hard work and dedication as we begin this new and exciting cookie sale. While I know this sale can be difficult and time-consuming, I want to remind everyone to try and always assume positive intent. We are all here to make sure that the girls have a fantastic experience and get the absolute most from their selling experience. As the sales continues, please remember to live by the Girl Scout Promise & Law and to continue to be a sister to every Girl Scout.

2018 Cookie Booth Selection – Round 1 (and a warehouse update!)

Good evening cookie team!

I have a few updates for you on this exciting cookie Thursday!

Booths:

We are on the eve of our first round of cookie booths, huzzah! Today, I have been working with all of our last minute community partners to get the booth authorization forms that they have been promising us for a few weeks. We are currently uploading all of the booths we currently have into eBudde and you should start to see them appear shortly. If you do not see anything in your service unit right away, please be patient, there are a LOT of booths to upload.

There are a handful community partners that are still waiting of final approvals from their senior management and will not be in the first round of booths, but WILL be in round 2. Some of these partners are:

  • Albertsons (This is not definite. As you all know, we have had challenges securing these booths in the past, but I am working diligently to get them back this year!)
  • Michaels
  • Big-5
  • Hobby Lobby
  • Sprouts
  • Petsmart
  • WinCo
  • Joann
  • Various local retailers

A lot of our traditional partners (and a few new ones!) are already confirmed, such as:

Troop Rosters:

If you are waiting on girls to be added to or removed from your roster, please do not worry. We are still working on loading all of the requests we’ve received, but we have received a LOT of requests and the process to correct them is very manual and time consuming. Luckily, the rosters need to be up to date before the initial order is due (which is 1/30/2018), so we have time to get all of those roster corrections processed before they have any impact on your sale.

If you are a troop leader that needs access to eBudde to see your troop before the booth selection at 9am tomorrow, please email customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org with the subject “URGENT: Troop Leader eBudde Access.” We will make these requests the highest priority so you all have access for the booth selection tomorrow.

We are very excited about this sales season and are looking forward to turning Las Vegas green with the largest girl-led business in the world!


Update to the Warehouse Hours:

On another note, we have confirmed that the cookie cupboard warehouse WILL be open for business on President’s Day (Monday, February 19, 2018). They will be open 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm.

Hello everyone!

With the new cookie season comes a new baker! Little Brownie Bakers will be hosting a LIVE webinar to train all of you on the technical side of the eBudde cookie management system. If you cannot make it, don’t worry! The webinar will be recorded and posted right here in cookie corner! All the information you need about the webinar is below:

  • Who: This training is open to all leaders and volunteers participating in the 2018 Cookie Sale
  • What: Interactive technical training on the eBudde cookie management system
  • When: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 – 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
  • Where: Anywhere you have an internet connection! (Pajamas from a comfy couch is HIGHLY recommended)

Hello Everyone!

We are so excited to announce our 2018 Cookie Warehouse hours and a handy one sheet with all the Warehouse information!

Name: Berger Allied Moving & Storage

Address: 600 E. Cheyenne Ave, North Las Vegas, NV 89030

Days and Hours open for cupboard reorder pick-up:

  • Monday*/Wednesday/Friday: 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm
  • Tuesday/Thursday: 9am-12pm and 1pm-7pm
  • Saturday (2/23, 3/3, 3/10) 9am-1pm

*We have confirmed that the cupboard will be open for business as usual on President’s day, February 19, 2018

Our 2018 Mega Drop will be held at the Warehouse on Feb 17th 2018!

Helpful hints for our new delivery agent:

  • Troops must submit a pending order in eBudde 24 hours in advance of pick-up so that warehouse staff can pull and stage your order.
  • Troops must bring a printed confirmation of your order to the warehouse cupboard (done through eBudde).
  • No exchanges or returns at the warehouse cupboard as we need to keep this cupboard a simple one-way directional flow of cookies. Council exchanges will only be done on a case-by-case basis and need to be coordinated through Council by emailing: customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org
  • A troop’s initial order should include what the troop needs not only to fulfill preorders, but also what you think you’ll need to get through the first weekend of booths.
